Belly shots, 19 weeks and 26 weeks

I posted the 19 week shot on Myspace a while back, and don't really like the pic because the khaki's I have on are not maternity and getting a little small for me, so in my opinion, they look like they are glued onto me. But anyhoo, who really likes pictures of themselves anyway?

I am sure I am even bigger then the 26 week pic at this point...it is now over 2 weeks old. My belly button is almost all the way out at this point. I have anywhere between 9-12 weeks to go.

Nursery: Before

Just a quick post to show what my guest bedroom looks like before we transform it. I have painted 3 different shades of green to sample this weekend, and I'm not really in love with any of them. I am going to choose the shade Joey likes, so if it doesn't turn out ok, I can always blame him! ;) I also went to Class or Trash this weekend and found a great old dresser I can use as a combo dresser/changing table, and a small side table I'm going to repaint for the room as well...all for only $50!

Jimi's room will be green with blue and yellow accent colors, the bedding is a very simple light star theme that I bought off of ebay, and I bought the coordinating rug on clearance at Babiesrus.

Joey is painting next weekend and then I will get to work painting the dresser and side table. I ordered letters in a coordinating pattern to hang his name on the wall above the changing table, and I'm going to get a family friend to do a small star mural on the wall above the crib with the quote from Peter Pan "Second star to the right and straight on till morning". I didn't want the typical twinkle twinkle, or star light star bright, and I have always loved Peter Pan.

28 week Checkup

I went in for my 28 week checkup and glucose screening today. I'm sure everything is fine, but will get the results later next week. I am measuring fine, and actually get to have 1 more ultrasound in a couple of weeks. Apparently they do one more ultrasound for women with hypothyroidism to make sure the baby is growing like it should.

I am officially in my 3rd trimester- YAY! All of my friends and family that have been pregnant the same time as me (there are quite a few) have pretty much all delivered now, except for one other friend who is due anytime. These last couple of months I will be fat and pregnant all by myself! :(

We are starting on the nusery this weekend. I will post a before pic tomorrow when we start, then later the after. I am really excited about starting this phase of pregnancy...the shopping phase! I am bargain shopping for all of the big items that I am not registering for either on ebay or craigslist, and so far have gotten some really nice things. I can't wait to have my nursery done so I can sit back and relax for the rest of my pregnancy.

Life and Death

A friend of mine lost her mother today to cancer. She is actually due to give birth today but has yet to go into labor. Life and death in this case so intermingled. I'm sure when it is time, her mother will guide little Wow into this world with all the love she has to give.

Le Synge Bleu , please know we are all here for you.

Jumping on the band wagon

Up to today, I have been posting random thoughts on Myspace. After many friends and family members have turned to this avenue of writing, I thought...hey why not...so here I am .

I am officially 27 weeks pregnant today. According to my fertility chart that I kept avidly for several months whilst trying to get pregnant, I should actually be 27 weeks and 3 days, but my doctor seems to think she knows better, so she pushed my due date back by 3 days. Not that any of that should matter, because now she is saying that since my dear daughter came 3 weeks early, my son too will be 3 weeks early...like you can predict that sort of thing.

Among the many things I want to post on this site are belly shots of my ever-expanding blimp of a preggo belly. They will be posted soon, not to worry. Jimi moves around constantly these days doing his best impression (or at least this is what I envision inutero) of Beavis on too much sugar needing t.p. for his bung hole. The random and most bewildering shuddering that goes on down there sometimes really has me worried that indeed I will pop out a pointy-jawed blond baby who's first utterances will be ... " I am Cornholio!"

There are worst things I guess.
